The primary focus is to investigate some of the influences on an adolescent's ability to respond in a realistic fashion to complex tasks, such as those involved in the process of learning. The methodological approach takes advantage of the fact that a variety of techniques and abilities can be presented to the subject in a way that facilitates the expression of his feelings, thoughts, and attitudes about the tasks at hand. The project concentrates on the responses of young children and adolescents to cognitive and physical tasks in the presence of particular sensory stimuli or input. In addition, it uses techniques to elicit various kinds of responses in both the context of research and in everyday life situations, such as playing chess, making a bed, or setting up for a science experiment.John R. In 1896 he received the award of the Free Library Association of Philadelphia for a new Carnegie library at a cost of $90,000. He died in New York City on May 15, 1921.
